BEST PRACTICE: This year’s Quality Homes Conference and Exhibition in Birmingham was another excellent event for us. We had confirmation on the eve of the show that two more clients, First Choice Homes and Mansfield District Council, were taking on a GIS managed service from us. That takes to 77 the number of organisations now benefitting from our expertise and sharing of best practice through managed services. On show day itself, the focus was very much on assets and we had many conversations with clients and prospective clients about our new analysis data offering PropertyInsights. In this, we have attributed a wide range of data to every housing association’s properties. Data includes British Geological Survey accurate radon data, flood and climate data from Twinn by Haskonning, environmental data such as extreme heat and biodiversity from Map Impact, tree data from BlueSky and construction data such as archetype, presence of basements, shape of roof and presence of solar panels from Ordnance Survey
